How to do a Press Up

I'm sure everyone knows what a "plank" is ? 

 

Drop to the floor , arms extended with hands just past shoulder width , body raised up on hands and toes - with a fully extended core that is tensed and locked and then hold - you're in a plank 

... but - 

now bend your elbows and release and lower your chest with control to the floor - and - push the world away from you !

 

Go as low as you are comfortable with and you have started your first press up - over time you can work on depth and going lower but for now , just bend and lower to where you are comfortable - over time and with patience and practice you will get to a full press up
